Topic and Abstract

20 Coaches and Growing - coaching and mentoring culture through clarity, consistency and celebration!

Coaching and mentoring at Indooroopilly State High School (ISHS) was driven by the school’s Improvement agenda, with a focus on development in areas of Pedagogy and Capability Development. The school aimed to ensure a consistent, research-based approach when conducting classroom observations and facilitating conversations around the school’s pedagogical principles and The Art and Science of Teaching framework (Marzano, 2007).

This session will outline how, since 2013, coaching has been integrated into leadership approaches as well as within a comprehensive peer based coaching and mentoring program.
